The YRIF Mission Statement
- To commemorate the legacy and genius of Yuri Rubinsky we will:
- Advocate for the need to ensure equality of information accessibility
through international conferences, symposia, and public forums
- Stimulate research and development of access technologies and achieve
equality of access to information for all persons
- Inform publishers, webmasters, and industry of the ways and means to make
content accessible
YRIF Outreach- Providing resources to those who wish to improve the accessibility of their
offerings
- Maintaining a publicly available resource center on the World Wide Web
(www.yuri.org)
- Sponsoring focused, international symposia
- Participating in an advocacy role at conferences for: Educators Librarians
Publishers and "Netizens"
- Coordinating a directory of services for accessibility organizations
